boring classes

Today, in a class I was interpreting, everyone kept falling asleep. The teacher was rambling and having a hard time coming up with complete sentences (maybe he was sleeping too). A student on the front row near me fell asleep in the middle of writing some notes. His pen was resting on the page the whole time he was sleeping, like he was writing something. But he uses one of those felt-tip pens (I'm not sure what they're called exactly), so the pen was just leaking ink out the whole time he was sleeping. When he woke up, he noticed the ink blot on his page and flipped through the notebook to see how far back it went. I think it leaked through the whole notebook, all the way to the back pages.

In a perfect world, we would all be able to sleep outside on the grass on a day like today, rather than sleeping in an uncomfortable desks. Or maybe in a world after graduation. I said something about that to Brett, saying how nice it will be when we graduate and how we'll be able to sit out on the grass if we want to. But he reminded me that we'll have to have jobs after we graduate. Hmmm. That's why I'm getting an MBA. So that I can figure out how to work and sit on the grass whenever I want.

I like the idea of getting jobs so that we can decide to sleep on the grass when we want to. Silly school.

Let me know when you figure out that working and sleeping on the grass thing. I think I am outside even less now that I work versus when I was in school. In fact I could go the whole working day without ever technically going outside, we have indoor parking. Thank heavens for "smoke" breaks and lunch.
