more energy = photo captions!

Ethan is so huge now. I think he's twice as big as he was when he was born. Every day I look at him and he's grown. It's fun to see all the little developments: smiling, reaching, batting at stuff, holding up his head, looking at everything. Every day is different.
When Brett's parents came to our home to meet Ethan, Laurie was taking a picture of Don when she said, "Don't make your dumb face!" So now whenever Ethan makes the following face, we call it his grandpa don face, because he looks so dumb. hee hee.
Here's his cute face. I love this hat. It's a size 6-12 months, so it's way too big, but that adds to the cuteness.
Remember in Shrek, how the princess is an ogre? Yeah that was me at the end of my pregnancy and just after he was born. But now I'm back down to my pre-pregnancy weight and I don't feel so much like never posting a picture of myself anymore.
Ethan's alone time.
Ethan is a strongly oral baby. The other day, Brett and Ethan were taking a nap. When Brett woke up, he noticed that Ethan had been sucking on his collar bone in his sleep. And he totally gave Brett a hickey.
We were laughing about the hickey later, while Ethan was doing tummy time, when I noticed that he had started sucking on his arm. He totally gave himself a hickey! He was only sucking on it for a few seconds and he totally bruised up. I felt so bad! His poor little arm. It's funny because we took Ethan in to Brett's work yesterday and were talking about the hickeys with Brett's boss. His reaction was, "poor Betsy!" heh heh. You can tell he has kids.
Speaking of tummy time. Here's how our tummy time usually ends up. We can't leave Ethan on anything by himself because he is so mobile already. Places to go and people to see, I guess.

We haven't forgotten about our cute kitties since we have a baby now! Cordelia was playing with this Coke box yesterday. She would get a running start and then dive head first into the box, sliding and smacking into whatever furniture was in the way. Silly.
Ethan is growing and growing! We love our baby.

He will be so different when we get back that we won't recognize him. I can't wait to see him.

You're already back to your pre-pregnancy weight!? Now, that's just not fair at all! I can't believe that baby has such a hard suck! That is so funny. I love him, he's adorable!
