Today is Brett's birthday. He has noticed the coming of old age more recently, in various situations. Recently he was eating sixlets and failed to shoot the candies out of the packaging like he could when he was younger (He decided that the problem wasn't his weak old fingers, but diminished packaging quality.) On the oldies station, they've started playing songs that he would listen to when he was a kid. And...I've been trying to think of another example of how old he is, but I can't. I think the fact that he gripes about not making the sixlet packages like they used to is enough example in itself. hee hee.

Happy birthday, Brett! I will be leaving my twenties next month, and Devon keeps telling me that life is better after 30, but I don't know that you can really call it "living" if you can't open sixlets packets ... :)

Hi Brett. Imagine how I feel, my KIDS are now starting to be in their thirties. Course, when I was thirty, my parents were ancient. Do I feel ancient? Oh, right, I do. Life is still worth living at 50, though, if only for the entertainment value. Happy birthday, and we'll see you at the party on Sunday.
AH! i missed his birthday!! sadly enough he is not the only birthday i have missed in the last month or so, ive been REALLLLLLLLLLY bad about that lately:(
